Census & Electoral Register

Number 29 Sidney Road first appears in the census in 1911, it states that there are 6 rooms this includes the kitchen, but not bathroom or scullery.

James Lansbury is there with his wife Mary Ann and 5 children, and one grandchild with the surname Oswald.  The census states he only has 6 living children. He looks to have been at the property until around 1926 : James Lansbury

He is still there in 1921, all the children have gone and he states he is a labourer working for Great Eastern Railway at Spitalfields.

The next record found is the 1939 register, this was compiled in Sept 1939 ready for the war.

Ernest Bartlett and his wife Daisy and 17 year old daughter Dora are there now.

In 1963 there is a an entry on the register of electors and Ernest is still living there, along with Gertrude and Harry Cresswell, they do not seem to be related.

This is the 1901 census and 19 is the last of the odd numbers listed.
